After years of designing dream trips for my clients, it was finally time to head back out on the road myself — destination: Namibia. In December 2024, the decision was made. I set off with my family and my childhood friend, joined by her children, for a self-drive adventure in a 4x4, rooftop tents, and camping gear ready to go. We headed south, where the landscapes make your heart race.
Some journeys mark a turning point — enchanted parentheses that you never really close again. In October 2017, I took my family — my daughters, my mother, my sister, and her children — on a timeless adventure, where South Africa reveals all its magic: between wild savannahs and ocean spray.
If I had to choose just one trip, one itinerary that left a lasting mark on me, it would be this one: a wild and contrasting loop through the northwestern part of South Africa, southern Namibia, and the flower-filled shores of the West Coast.
